Talking to Alan Moore about Jerusalem - 7th November 2016
Alan Moore is best known for his comics classics such as V for Vendetta and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but his latest work takes him into different territory: Jerusalem is a prose novel that, at 600,000 words, is longer than the Bible – and is a vast celebration of his relatively small home town of Northampton.
In a Guardian Live event recorded in London, Moore explains his project to comedian Stewart Lee.

In short, if you're a bigoted, socialist worker, civil servant, teacher, social worker or NHS employee then Stuart Lee is the comedian for you. If you actually care about tolerance for all, even those who have different political opinons from you, he's about as funny as the credit crunch."

"I was Stage Manager for Stewart Lee. It wasn't performance art, stand up comedy or satire. It was a fucking train-wreck. That man could not read an audience 3 feet away. And yes, I got to know his act well during the rehearsals and Tech rehearsal.
